A bridge that stays in the EU.
GDPR-compliant cloud storage — the bridge between your AI agents, your files and the web. No US cloud conglomerate, private by default, with built-in website publishing.
pontiswerk is storage for organisations that want to know where their data lives: operated in the EU, under European law, with no detour through a hyperscaler. No third-country transfer, no interpretation questions about the GDPR third-country chapter.
Data sovereignty is not a footnote
| Principle | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| EU operation | Storage and processing in the EU, under EU law — no US CLOUD Act access via a parent company |
| Private by default | Only folders you explicitly publish are reachable on the web. Everything else stays private |
| No tracking business model | You pay for storage — your data is what we safeguard, not what we monetise |
| Anonymous possible | Sign up entirely without an email address if you prefer |
More than a data grave
Folders become websites. Any workspace can publish arbitrary folders as a public website — a price list, project documentation, a client microsite. One click in the dashboard, done. No separate web-hosting package.
Your AI agent works directly in the storage. pontiswerk speaks MCP — Claude & co. read, write and publish files directly in the workspace, with no upload detours.
Classic access included. FTPS works with any common client — entirely without AI, too.

Frequently asked
Where does my data live?
In the EU. Storage and processing never leave the EU.
Do I have to use AI?
No. pontiswerk works entirely over FTPS and the web dashboard. The MCP connection is an extra, not a requirement.
What's public, what's private?
Private is the default. Only what you explicitly publish via a slug becomes public — and that can be undone at any time.
How do I get out again?
Your files are ordinary files. Download them over FTPS, cancel, done — no proprietary format, no lock-in.
